When I say "n****r" I'm not just describing a person in a mean-spirited way, I'm identifying myself as a member of the dominant group. It's a reminder to the Black listener that for the past 500 years I could turn them into a corpse with impunity.

This goes back to Californian totalitarianism: it's all about reinforcing a power structure (straight white male domination) while erasing any discussion of power through a bogus embrace of tolerance. When I (ironic straight white male) use 'n****r,' I'm reminding everyone that I'm still totally empowered, but I'm acting like there is no longer any power structure.

The only 'dumb' thing about bigots using those words--the difference between California and Texas--is that the Texan isn't making the second move of pretending there isn't a power structure in place anymore.

Also, I hope nobody calls me a 'faggot' for writing this.james blisshttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10181827011568497548noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169849407979145898.post-12693047397280910722010-08-30T14:22:05.629-07:002010-08-30T14:22:05.629-07:00You're so right about the texas/california thi...You're so right about the texas/california thing BK.Drunken Acornhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03774665465293298067noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169849407979145898.post-49364054710115185312010-08-30T12:29:06.938-07:002010-08-30T12:29:06.938-07:00not everyone in Texas sucks.....not everyone in Texas sucks.....Donniehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00967754816339025176noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5169849407979145898.post-20996741344618506182010-08-30T09:57:59.397-07:002010-08-30T09:57:59.397-07:00I was at The Spot last night.
