they're fucking me, people! FUCKING ME!

I can't believe this shit. I am SET to unload all over you people like Peter North on a girl who hates her dad, but shit is dragging. Now there's that stupid thing on Amazon where you can listen to a random thirty seconds of each song, and shit's getting premiered by our buddy at the BBC, Mike Davies, but none of this is what I wanted to tell you about. Gets more exciting and more unlikely that it'll live up to the hype every moment, don't it? Sure do. Okay, well, just know that I'm ready, the second this shit gets put in place, I'm telling you all about it. At this point, though, there's nothing to tell. I could link you to a website that doesn't have anything on it yet if you want, but well, you're already on one of those right now, aren't you? Heh. Okay. I'm gonna go put these songs you all voted for in order. Penultimate practice tonight, everyone! This is a dress rehearsal, so I'll be doing the bass solo from Quincentuple your money with my ballsack, just like I plan on doing at the metro.
stay tuned

Well, after hearing about the ballsack bass solo, color me satisfied.

at least you didn't leave us hanging for 24 hours this time...

and if you linked us to a website with nothing on it yet - then at least we could guess what the URL meant.

looking forward to the announcement. and to seeing your ballsack on saturday.

This was worth reading just for the ballsack bass solo alone.

Ballsack bass solo? Well that was worth the wait.

so frustrating.

Nate B. said...

I hope that ballsack bass solo travels to the San Francisco shows.

I'll play cap'n obvious and say 'buttsweat tears' is very 'blood, sweat and tears'. It's quite alkaline trio-esque in that way.

Also this supreme test of patience seems to have drawn forth many bsc comment newcomers forth from the woodwork. So that's 26% exciting.

hate to be late to the ball sack party, but tender this my formal RSVP...

also, im with nate -- if there isnt already enough public ball sack play in SF, hopefully we can reach that climax when you get here...

you cats should see the madness that has ensued on the .orgsummit since that first post yesterday morning. The "Lawrence Arms Leak?" thread went from like 2 pages to 9 pages.

Did Fat forget that they are releasing your album in less than a week? The lack of a pre-order points to yes.

I bought two tickets to the show right when they went on sale thinking I would make the trip to Chicago.. Then they announced California shows. Since I do not have much money at the moment, it would be pretty stupid to fly to Chicago to see one show, when I could not fly to Chicago and go to more than one show. Bottom line, I'm selling my tickets. Let me know if you want them. I have a link from The Metro to pass them along.

T.NERB I WOULD LOVE LOVE LOVE to get those tickets! Please email me! smoothiee@gmail.com

After playing bass for like 7 years I know that doing solos like that with your ball is a very dangerous, yet quite relieving deed. Good luck sir.

Murderface can do it

Tell me Why Why Why Why Why......

Candice said...

the lies are making you even more attractive brendan. it's the quality i seem to always look for in the men i date.

Robb said...

It's the quality literally every woman looks for, despite what they may say otherwise

Mark said...

Truth. At least Candice admits it.

I'm probably SUPER late on this, but I just saw this thing. I'm begging you Brendan, please watch this. Probably thee funniest thing I've ever seen.

those 30 sec clips are fuckin great! Really makes the sting of not being able to make it to the show that much worse, but wow, good shit, man..
glad 'Demons' is on represented as well..probably one of my favorite memories of TLA ever when played @ Subt last year!!!

I'm prepared for the ballsack. At least I hope. AND I'm prepared to know this crazy awesome something that's supposedly about to ensue. Fuck, dude!

He set me up for disappointment
I drank enough to recite the words he wrote
They're singing in my head so long

Cold rain will fall tonight.

Bren if you don't have something tasty by 10am CDT, I'm going to post Lit lyrics in the comments section. Nobody wants that. Not an idle threat

i just had this real strange hope that this big news we're being taunted with is going to be that "buttsweat and tears" is actually just some sundowner/falcon demos they picked and recorded (not a bad thing mind you, since both bands are sick and the 30 second clips are making buttsweat and tears sound sick) to do the seven inch, and that they've actually recorded a new full length in secret, which is even awesomer. that'd be neat.

Unknown said...

Live in Decline... I thought the same thing. But thats exactly what getting our hopes up gets us.

FranklinStein said...

R-Dawg,
I've been craving me some Lit as of late, so I'm totally down with your "threat".

Let's bang,
LeFrank

You display this intense visual of ball sack soloing, yet you leave us high and dry two days in a row...damn you!

Robb said...

Franklin - yeah I tried to make it something not outright terrible but more "meh who cares" or "hey that's not bad at all", rendering the threat completely ineffective. brokeNCYDE lyrics or Mitch Fatel stand-up clips would be great legit threats

Mark: you are my best friend. Exact same thought went through my head.

My boyfriend wants me to ask the Sock Drawer a question: is it acceptable to wear a band's shirt to the show? My boyfriend wants to wear his Larry Arms shirt Saturday. I told him he can't because it breaks the rules of concert etiquette. Please discuss.

Stizzy said...

it is not ok to wear a bands shirt to their show

it is ok to show up to their show drunk and naked and with every band members face tattooed below your waist (brendan you're on my ankle)

For The Night said...

In Japan every single person wears a bands tshirt to their show. Its sad and funny all at the same time. I saw Rancid a couple weeks ago and I have never seen so many Rancid shirts.

Anonymous said...

god i wish i could go to the show saturday. i legit looked up plane tickets from prague to chicago. a bit out of my price range. party hard for me dogs of war...

Blake said...

It is also unacceptable to wear the shirt of any of the member's previous bands.

word verification: gruper (I thought the whole point of this thing was to not get fished..boda-bing!)

MOG said...

Tell your boyfriend that it doesn't matter if he is wearing the shirt to the show because if he is calling it a "concert" then his lameness is off the scale.

I kid because I love.

PIXI said...

I'm going to wear my BSC shirt. I hope that is acceptable.
